Tradeshow Table Design

This project allowed me the chance to switch gears a bit and think a bit about industrial design.  The assignment was to create a simple table for an upcoming trade show using a new, rigid, recycled and recyclable, sheet material that the company is marketing.
Project specs:
  • created from supplied sheet material - 3/8"thick 4'x8' sheets
  • simple to setup and breakdown
  • conserve material
  • dimensions - 48"wide x 40"tall x 24"deep
  • simple to transport and easy to ship
  • sturdy enough to hold laptop, literature, and mercury recovery system
  • graphics must match existing booth design

    Filtration Equipment Tradeshow Displays

This is a project that I created for an industrial filtration company.  The graphics were printed on three fabric panels and hung in a large 4'h x 12'w x 6"deep plexi boxes with adhesive vinyl applications ti the exterior.

This part of the project was created for an 8' diam. plexi disk to represent a side view of one of the client's products.

Latest set of Simon Says postcards.

One of the latest designs in the ongoing Simon Says campaign.  Designs are inspired by a gargantuan chocolate lab named Charlie whose appetite for mischief dwarfs his physical size...somehow

    curious photo

So... I don't really know why I took these two images but after looking through my photos, they both stuck out to me a bit.

    photo of the day

So, I have always been intrigued by the walls of new demolition in the city.  The leftover walls seem to tell a story of the original structure and maybe the people who once lived there.  From the tattered montage of wallpapers and old paint to the seams where walls and stairs once were, the clues of original elevation plan are apparent.

    Photo of the Day

Here is a photo that I took yesterday but neglected to post.  This is about as wide open as spaces get in center city Philadelphia.

    first post...mothersday!

I would like to dedicate this post to the all mothers out there today but especially my mother who has been an amazing inspiration to me in so many ways (many of which I'm sure are subconscious).  She exudes a confident can-do attitude while placing importance on careful planning and of course...fun, enjoyment, and fulfillment.  She has always been a natural and constant teacher to my brother and me but she has always extended her hand out to her employees and to the community.  I deeply appreciate the values that I have inherited from her and I will always hold them in my head, my heart, and my hands.

Thank you Mom, for everything!  You not only make flowers bloom, but you make hearts and minds bloom as well!
